Those taking part in the “Training Thousands of Quran Memorizers” plan in Iraq took an examination held earlier this week to assess their progress in learning the Quran by heart.

The exam was held in three southern provinces of the country, namely Dhi Qar, Muthanna, and Basra, according to the website of the Dar-ol-Quran Center of Imam Hussein (AS) Holy Shrine’s Astan (custodianship).
The plan has been implemented by the Dar-ol-Quran center with the aim of promoting the Quranic culture.
On the sidelines of the examination in Dhi Qar province, a Quran recitation session was held with prominent Iraqi Qari, Wael al-Karbati reciting verses from the Holy Book.
Those who passed the examination successfully received certificates from the Dar-ul-Quran center.
So far more than 4200 individuals have participated in the plan.
