A Quranic course for the visually-impaired began in the city of Grozny, capital of the Chechen Republic of Russia, on April 7.
According to IQNA’s Europe branch, the courses are presented at the Arsanev Islamic School in Grozny.
Ramadan Mustafayev, an Arabic teacher at the school, said the participants are not only from Chechen but also from other Russian regions such as Ingush, Dagestan, Kabardino-Balkaria, and Stavropol.
He said the Arsanev Islamic School has initiated the plan to hold the courses and pays for the participants’ expenses including transportation costs.
Given that the course has been very well received by the visually-impaired from different parts of Russia’s Caucasus, the school intends to continue organizing such programs throughout the year, said Mustafayev.
