Syria, Jugular Vein of Islamic Resistance
Syria is the jugular vein of Islamic Resistance and a center of balance in the region, Lebanon's Grand Shi’ite Jaafarite Mufti Sheikh Ahmad Qabalan said.
Speaking on Tuesday, April 10, at the Scholars of Levant Conference to Support al-Quds, he also said that the holy city of Quds is the common cause of the Arab and Islamic nation.
He further urged the scholars of Levant (Syria, Lebanon, Palestine and Jordan) to form an association to make their voices heard.
The Scholars of Levant Conference to Support al-Quds was organized by Syria’s Awqaf Ministry in cooperation with Lebanese Scholars Assembly. The motto of the conference was ‘al-Quds and al-Aqsa Mosque, Outcry of the Truth in the Ummah’s Conscience’.
