The youth groups said in a press release, "The Palestinian prisoners' day symbolizes the brave captives who sacrificed their freedom for their homeland's freedom and liberation, for their children to get a free, honorable life and enjoy their childhood like all children all over the world, for their women to live happily and comfortably, and for the Palestinian youth to build their homeland and its future and to dream of its bright future”.
They affirmed that the Palestinian prisoners’ day is a reminder of the respectable captives who are exposed to the worst forms of persecution and humiliation, repression, isolation, and torture.
The statement included a call for large participation in the sit-in, saying, "Those honorable captives refused humiliation and announced a hunger strike in all the Nazi Zionist prisons of repression and terrorism starting the seventeenth of April”.
The Palestinian prisoners are appealing to the free people of the world to support them and help them until the unjust jailers stop their oppressive practices against them and release them, the statement said. “So respond to their appeal and do not let them down ".
