Speaking to IQNA, Eslam Aqapur, executive secretary of the Health Ministry’s Strategic Committee for Quranic Research and Medicine, added that there are approximately 1400 verses in the Holy Book referring to medical and health issues.
He said if medical experts with help from Quran commentators closely study these verses, solutions can be found for all the diseases in the world.
He called for presenting Quranic concepts to people in an easy-to-understand languages so that they can benefit more from the teachings of the Quran.
Aqapur also urged that courses be held through the cooperation of government bodies like the Culture Ministry, Health Ministry, Science Ministry, municipalities, the Islamic Development Organization and the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting, to promote Quranic knowledge about health issues and prevent diseases.
