IIUI Cultural Week Kicks off

Higher Education Commission (HEC), Chairman Dr. Javaid Laghari is opening the 24th Annual Cultural Week of International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) today Tuesday.
AJK President Sardar Yaqoob Khan will be the chief guest while ambassadors of Islamic countries and other dignitaries will attend the inaugural session.
Students from 42 Muslim Countries will participate in this International Islamic Exhibition to exhibit their cultures including dress, poetry, paintings, photographs, foods, art and literature.
Traditionally Saudi Arabia, Iran, UAE, China, Afghanistan, Kashmir, countries from ASEAN, SAARC and all the provinces of Pakistan shall set up their stall. The event will be open for families from Rawalpindi & Islamabad.
The university has invited different manufacturers and traders to setup their stalls for promotion of their brands. The inaugural ceremony of IIUI 24th cultural week (male) will be held on April 17 at the new campus whereas the cultural week (female) will be inaugurated on April 18, 2012 at the Faisal Masjid campus of the university.
Prize distribution ceremony (male) will be held on April 19 at the auditorium block 2, new campus and concluding ceremony (female) will be held on April 20, 2012.
