Iran to Hold Nat’l Quran Exam

Plans are underway for holding the 8th edition of “Concepts and Memorization” national Quran exam on April 20 in the Islamic Republic of Iran.
It is organized by Iran’s Center for Coordination, Promotion and Dissemination of Quranic Activities in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance as well as the country’s Quran and Etrat Cultural centers.
Over 50000 individuals are expected to sit the exam. The second stage of the exam will be held in November-December.
The attendees will compete with each other on memorization (5, 10, 20 Juz (parts) and entire holy Quran), translation, and concepts of the holy Quran in two primary and complementary phases.
50000 individuals have applied for the registration through internet from among which 10000 have enrolled for memorization exam and 40000 for translation and concepts exams.
It will start at 9 am and will go until 12 pm.
