Switzerland Universities Ready to Hold Courses on Islamic Theology
Switzerland state media outlets have announced that various universities of the country are ready to hold courses on Islamic theology as well as training courses for imams of mosques.
According to Saphirnews website, the decision has been made by the universities following the call for the first congress of imams of mosques in Switzerland in early 2013.
As the results of a study on scientific researches by Switzerland National Science Foundation show, holding such courses is a real need for the country which the university rectors try to fulfill this by following the example of German universities.
Moreover, the researches on training of imams of mosques which are conducted by the CRUS aiming to merge Muslims into the Swiss society, have also considered launching faculties of Islamic theology the only way to achieve this objective.
