The project enables people to view over 30,000 artworks online in detail at the museum and the Arab Museum of Modern Art here.
The ceremony will feature a conversation between the museum directors and Google Art Project leaders, as well as allow guests behind-the-scenes peek at the making of the project in Qatar.
With the project, the Museum of Islamic Art and Arab Museum of Modern Art have reportedly become the only museums in the Middle East giving 24 hour access to viewers.
Art lovers are able to explore a wide range of artworks at a brushstroke, take a virtual tour of the museum, and build their own collections to share from paintings, sculptures, street art and photographs with just a few mouse clicks.
The partnership between Qatar Museums Authority and Google is part of Google's major global expansion that currently has 151 partner institutions in 40 countries.
