The 90-minute documentary takes viewers to nine countries and across 1,800 years of cultural history to explore the astonishing riches of Islamic art and architecture.
Narrated by Academy Award-winning actress Susan Sarandon, Islamic Art was developed and filmed over two years, including extraordinary high-definition footage taken in Egypt, Israel, Syria, Tunisia, Turkey, Iran, Spain, Mali and India, as well as a wide array of historical recreations that look and feel authentic.
For those who are unable to attend the screening, the film will debut on PBS nationwide on July 6th at 9 .m.
