The first stage of the nationwide Ahsan-ul-Hadith Quranic Competition is scheduled to be held on April 28-29.
Over 87000 Quran learners from 1300 Quranic centers will attend the competition, which is organized by Isfahan-based Ahsan-ul-Hadith Institute. The competition features interpretation of Surah Isra (17th Surah of the Quran).
Director of the Institute Ali Fazilati told IQNA that the contest would have two stages, the second one slated for July with the participation of 2000 individuals.
“Registration for the contest’s first stage concluded in March,” he said, adding that it was very warmly received.
He noted that 87,500 CDs (on interpretation of Surah Isra) have been provided for the participants in the first stage.
Fazilati went on to say that winners of the competition will be awarded partly-expenses paid pilgrimage trips to the holy city of Karbala.
