“A stun bomb planted by unidentified persons near the fence of the al-Qaim hawzah headquarters went off.
The blast left no casualties but caused some material losses,” said Sheikh Abdulhassan al-Furati, the hawzah director.
The holy Shiite city of Karbala, which lies 80 km south of the Iraqi capital Baghdad, has been the scene of several stun bomb attacks that targeted clerics, headquarters of political parties and houses of legislators during the past few weeks.
