Dar-ol-Quran Al-Karim Organization is planning to launch special centers for training influential Quranic manpower in all branches across the country, educational and research deputy of the organization said.
Speaking at a news conference on April 28, Davoud Takfallah elaborated on Dar-ol-Quran’s Quranic plans and programs for the current Iranian year (started March 20).
“The first requirement for a successful Quranic plan is avoiding any publicity approach and implementing it based on the existing demands,” he added, calling for a slow yet constant endeavor to administer the plans in an optimal way.
Referring to Dar-ol-Quran’s plan to inaugurate special centers for training influential Quranic manpower, he said: “The plan will be administered in all provinces using the budget allocated to the organization the previous year.”
Takfallah also pointed to the Supreme Leader’s instructions on training 10 million Quran memorizers, noting: “This should be worked out in practice through long-term planning, and the best center to do it is the Council for the Promotion of the Quranic Culture.
“We ought to to focus on precise policies to promote a need for using Quranic concepts and teachings to solve individual and social problems in society.”
Referring to the 15-year record of research activities on Quran education, he added: “Apart from corresponding projects that have been conducted so far, 50 educational workshops have also been set up for Quran activists, each attended by about 100 individuals.”
“About 50 percent of our population is not good enough at reading or recitation of the Holy Book . Entrusting public Quranic institutes to administer Dar-ol-Quran’s plans will be of great help to promote Quran education in society.”
According to a bill passed in the parliament last year, governmental organizations are required to allocate as much as 0.5 percent of their annual budget to Quranic activities.
