This is according to seminary and university scholar Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammad Taqi Fa’alli, who also told IQNA that such authors also need to possess a powerful imagination and story writing skills.
He further said using the Ayat-ul-Qasas in literature is either through the direct or indirect methods.
“Currently, the indirect use of these verses in books and movies is common,” he noted, referring to movies and TV series such as ‘Kingdom of Solomon’ and ‘Prophet Joseph’ as examples.
The scholar said that in indirect method, fundamental concepts are taken from the verses and used in writing stories. “In the story of Prophet Joseph (AS), for instance, there are concepts like fortitude, persistence and chastity that can be used and elaborated on to make movies and write novels.”
Hojat-ol-Islam Fa’alli underlined that presenting Quranic stories in an indirect way would be more effective and attractive.
