According to Al-Ittihad newspaper, the exhibition was opened on April 28 with the presence of Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmad Al-Qasemi, chairman of Sharjah Media Corporation and some local officials.
It has been organized by Islamic Association of Sharjah on the sidelines of the 4th educational research course on Islamic manuscripts held by the association.
Majid Bushalibi, secretary general of the association said: “The exhibition and the course have been planned in line with the objectives of the Islamic association to promote Islamic values in the society.”
The association publishes magazines on revival of Islamic heritage and research into manuscripts aiming to preserve religious and cultural heritage of Arab countries, he stated.
He also noted that nearly most of the students of faculties of Theology and Islamic Sciences write dissertations on Islamic manuscripts.
