The model of Basij is the best model to follow for preserving the accomplishments of the Islamic Awakening.
This is according to Seyyed Ahmad Reza Dastgheyb, representative of the people of Shiraz in the Majlis, who added that the model of Basij has been considered in many of the regional countries because of the Islamic Awakening movement and the similarities with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
He highlighted the importance of people’s institutions and described Basij as the greatest and most disciplined popular institution in the world.
The deputy of the Majlis’ National Security and Foreign Policy Commission called for introducing the model of Basij at the international level and said it has been effective in organizing popular forces and foiling foreign conspiracies.
He further underlined that growing political knowledge and awareness about the contemporary issues among Basij members will help to thwart Fitna (sedition) in the country.
Dastgheyb also urged that scientific issues and specialization become focus of attention in Basij.
