It is held annually by the Society for Defending the Palestinian Nation to mark the anniversary of the victory of the Palestinian Resistance Movement in the 22-day war against Israel.
Addressing the conference, secretary of the society said the Islamic Revolution of Iran was the beginning of the end of the Zionist regime.
Ayatollahi added that the Zionist regime’s withdrawal from Lebanon in 2000 and then from Gaza, as well as its defeats in the 33-day, 22-day and 8-day wars disproved the myths about the regime’s invincibility.
He noted that the conference aims to investigate the different aspects of resistance in the occupied lands, discuss the effective role of the Islamic Revolution of Iran in the awakening of the Muslim Ummah and strive to promote the Palestinian resistance against occupation.
Majlis speaker’s international affairs advisor Hossein Sheikhol-Eslam also addressed the opening ceremony.
Representatives of grassroots organizations from countries like Pakistan, Palestine, Turkey, Lebanon, Chile, India and France are attending the event.
