Ayatollah Taskhiri Contributed to Global Promotion of Shiism: Velayati
A top Iranian official has said that former secretary general of the Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, Ayatollah Taskhiri, made great contributions to developing Shia ideologies around the world.
The international affairs consultants to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Dr Ali Akbar Velayati, made the remarks yesterday addressing commemoration ceremony of Ayatollah Taskhiri.
He further said that he [Ayatollah Taskhiri] also prepared the ground for close interaction of Shiism with different Islamic denominations.
Describing Ayatollah Taskhiri as a great intellectual, he said that, “He always participated in international Islamic events around the world and getting help from his mastery over different languages and awareness about latest world and regional developments, he could confront enemies’ conspiracies against Islam”.
