“Luqman’s Words of Wisdom” Translated into Tagalog
Iranian Cultural Center in the Philippines published a selection of “Luqman’s Words of Wisdom” translated from Persian into the Tagalog language.
According to IQNA’s ICRO branch, the collection was translated and published in cooperation with the Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) World Assembly.
Mahmoud Tajar is the translator of the work, which has been published in 1000 copies.
The Iranian center also plans to publish a translation of Imam Sajjad’s (AS) "Treaties on Rights" in the Filipino language in cooperation with the assembly.
Filipino is a prestige register of the Tagalog language, and the name under which Tagalog is designated the national language of the Philippines, as well as an official language alongside English. Tagalog is a first language of about one-third of the Philippine population; it is centred around Manila but is spoken to varying degrees nationwide.
