Held in Penang, the program, titled "Islamic Finance Awareness", was endorsed and recognized as a high impact program by Bank Negara Malaysia and supported by the Association of Islamic Banking Institutions Malaysia.
In a statement, Special Project Manager Khairul Sabudin said the institute revised the program content to suit current industry needs.
It held in three sections namely, "Fundamentals of Shariah in Islamic Banking", "Islamic Banking Products and Services" as well as "Panel Discussion on Issues in Islamic Banking".
This year's event is jointly sponsored by Maybank Islamic Bank Bhd, Bank Rakyat, Affin Islamic Bank Bhd and Bank Muamalat Malaysia Bhd.
Besides Kuala Lumpur and Penang, IBFIM's Islamic Finance Awareness Program would also be held in Johor Bahru in May, Kota Bahru in June, Kuching in September and Kota Kinabalu in October.
