Iranian Representative’s Recitation Reverberates in Kuwait’s Int’l Quran Competition

The recitation of Iran’s representative Seyyed Mostafa Hosseini reverberated in the hall where Kuwait’s 4th International Holy Quran Competition is being held.
Hosseini recited two times on Sunday evening, April 7, Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Aan reported.
Iran’s other representative was Hossein Mehdizadeh who has attended the competition in the category of memorization of the entire Quran.
A number of other reciters including Zayed Ali Omar Al-Jaberi from the UAE, Abdul-Wahab Hossein Ahmed from Pakistan, and Hajj Banjuku Musa Drami from Mali also recited verses from the Quran on the fifth day of the competition.
In the Qara’at Saba’a (ten styles of recitation) category, Abdullah Bin Saeed Ali Al-Hakmani from Oman, Nabieddin Nematollah Jalilev from Uzbekistan, and Mukhtar Omar Hussein from Tanzania showed their talents on the stage.
In the memorization of the entire Quran category Muatafa Arsalan Yurik from Turkey, Muhammad Dulhajj Kita from Gambia, Ali Sa’ad Zakaria from Lebanon, Yusuf Ali Abikut from Russiaa and Dekori Mamadi from Ivory Coast did their best to win the Kuwait Internatioanl Award.
There are educational programs planned on the sidelines of the competition, including a Quranic seminar to be held at the World Islamic Charity Center of Kuwait after Maghrib and Isha prayers Monday night.
