Iran Ready to Cooperate with Kazakhstan in Conducting Quranic Activities

Iranian ambassador to Kazakhstan said that Iran is ready to cooperate with the Central Asian country in carrying out Quranic and religious activities.
Qorban Seifi made the remark in a meeting with Yerzhan Mayamerov, who has recently been appointed as the new Grand Mufti of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Seifi added that Iran is ready to hold a Hajj congress in Kazakhstan with the participation of the Supreme Leader’s Office in Hajj Affairs and hold Quran memorization and recitation competitions in the country.
Asghar Saberi, Iran’s cultural attaché in Kazakhstan, who was present at the meeting, said Iran has already organized religious programs such as Quran exhibitions, Quran weeks and Quran recitation session, which have been warmly welcomed by the people of Kazakhstan.
He said the Iranian Cultural Center is ready to expand cooperation in such fields in the future.
The grand Mufti of Kazakhstan welcomed in this meeting welcomed the Iranian representatives and said developing relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran is among his priorities.
He also noted that a Quran memorizer and a reciter from Kazakhstan will take part in the Islamic Republic of Iran’s International Quran Competition.
At the end of the meeting, Iran’s ambassador presented the Mufti of Kazakhstan with a Quranic artwork as a gift.
