According to IQNA’s correspondent, the closing ceremony of the event will be held after Maghrib prayers in the presence of Kuwait’s high ranking officials.
The international event, known as Kuwait International Award, formally kicked off in the city of Kuwait on Wednesday, in a ceremony attended by Kuwait’s Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak, Iranian Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Seyyed Mohammad Hosseini, as well as a number of ministers, foreign ambassadors and Quranic activists.
The competition, which is underway in the categories of memorization of the entire Quran, Quran recitation, seven styles of recitation, and best plan for serving the Quran, will close tonight by honoring top winners.
Hossein Mehdizadeh and Seyyed Mostafa Hosseini represent Iran in the memorization and recitation categories of the contest, respectively.
