This is according to the director general of the Awqaf Department of Chahar-Mahal and Bakhtiari province Hojat-ol-Islam Seyyed Mohammad Tabatabaei who also told IQNA that in some Muslim countries the best Quran reciters and memorizers are trained but the teachings of the Quran are not acted upon.
He said that after the demise of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), there were a lot of attempts to sideline the Holy Book, adding that those who took away the Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) from the ones who thirst for the truth, took away the teachings of Quran from them, as well.
“The enemies of Islam are now seeking to take Muslims’ attention away from the teachings of the Revelation,” the official underlined, adding that the attempts made by internal and foreign enemies to undermine the status of the clergy is one of the strategies to isolate the Quran in society.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Hojat-ol-Islam Tabatabaei stressed the need for the realization of a Quranic society, adding that everyone should acquire Quranic teachings and implement them in his personal and social life.
