According to IQNA’s ICRO branch, the course was held in line with the scientific and cultural cooperation of the Islamic Republic of Iran with the scientific, academic, religious and cultural institutes abroad.
It was instructed by Hojat-ol-Islam Shameli, lecturer of Qom Seminary School, who discussed concepts such as Velayat, Imam, etc. in Shia school of thought
The scholar also talked about the history of Sh'iism, characteristics of Imam in Shia view point, infallibility of Imams and Shia-Sunni dialogue.
The course was held with the participation of Prof. Agostino Cilardo, dean of the faculty, and expert in Islamic law, Prof. Carmela Baffioni, Italian expert in Islamic studies and head of the department of Philosophy of the university, Prof. Antonella Strefach, lecturer of Arabic literature and Islamic philosophy and a number of students of the university.
