Members of the French Muslims Council in a meeting with the country’s interior minister voiced their protest to the extension of Hijab ban.
According to the SaphirNews website, the 8 members of the council during their meeting with Manuel Valls on Friday warned against the passing of anti-Islam laws and the development of Islamophobic measures.
The expressed concerns that such measures would be exploited by radical groups and give way to spread of discrimination against Muslims.
According to Abdullah Zikri, head of the Council for Monitoring Islamophobia in France, whenever French politicians talk about Islam and Muslims, Islaamophobic measures rise in the country.
It should be noted that a recently passed law in France has banned Hijab in the country’s kindergartens.
