Those who are happy with the Divine Taghdir (ordinance of God) do not worry about Rizq (sustenance, provision) and their aim is not earning Rizq.
This is according to Hojat-ol-Islam Seyyed Hossein Mir’moezzi, member of the Supreme Council of Islamic-Iranian Model of Progress, while speaking at the 14th session of the forums on Islamic economic system, added that such people consider worshipping God and acting upon their duties as their aim.
Titled “Role of Ethics in Economic System in View of Islam”, the session was held at the Iranian Academics Quranic Activities Organization.
Hojat-ol-Islam Mir’moezzi added those who believe in God’s ordinance, Trust Him with their Rizq.
He underlined that Riza (being happy with God’s ordinance) has many positive effects and brings about happiness in one’s life.
He said there are some people who are Mutiwakkil (put their trust in God). They thank God when a misfortune or poverty occurs to them just as they thank God when they receive blessings.
The seminary and university scholar referred to verse 52 of Surah Zumar “do they not know that Allah outspreads and withholds His provision to whosoever He will? Surely, there are signs in this for a believing nation,” saying that in this verse those who do not believe in the Taghdir of God have been chastised.
He stressed that according to the Hadiths from the Infallible (AS), being happy with Taghdir brings about blessings including wealth, happiness and extensive Rizq.
Hojat-ol-Islam Mir’moezzi went on to say that whether God gives one a suffering or a blessing it is good for him because God knows what is good for one and what is not.
