Quran-based Knowledge, Muslims’ Heritage in Balkans

Quran-based knowledge is the heritage of Muslims in the Balkans, director of Qom Religious Sciences Center in Belgrade, Serbia, said.
Saeed Khalilovich made the remark in a ceremony held in the city of Novi Pazar, south of Serbia, to mark the third anniversary of the establishment of a Quran School in the city.
He added that Muslims in the Balkans ought to strive for progress based on the Revelation and religious knowledge.
Khalilovich referred to the Hadith “Knowledge is a light that God puts in the heart of anyone He wants”, saying, “That knowledge is light that guides us and helps us grow, not one that leads us astray.”
During the ceremony, six students of the school who have learned the entire Quran by heat were honored.
Head of Serbia’s Islamic Society as well as prayer leaders, instructors of the city’s seminary and Islamic Studies Faculty, guests from Turkey, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia and Croatia were also present at the program.
