An educational workshop on teaching the Holy Quran has been held by Pakistan’s Jama’a Al-Da’wah Association at Qadisiyah Mosque in Lahore, Punjab Province.
According to IQNA’s branch in South Asia, the session began with Quran recitation by an eminent Qari of the region, followed by a speech presented by Hafiz ‘Akif Sa’eed, head of the association.
He described the Holy Quran as the best guide for mankind to reach salvation and said Islamic societies are facing many problems today as a result of neglecting the Holy Quran.
Noting that the only solution for such problems is to contemplate the meaning of the Quran and act upon the teachings of the Divine Book, he stressed that religious and political figures of Muslim countries should lead the way in this respect.
A number of scholars, intellectuals, religious, social and political figures of the country and different groups of people attended the Quranic event.
