Iran Presents Religious Books in Kazakhstan Int’l Book Fair

Iran Cultural Center in Kazakhstan presented some 400 books at the 7th edition of Kazakhstan International Book and Printing Exhibition in Almaty.
According to IQNA’s ICRO branch, the exhibition was organized by Kazakhstan Exhibition Company “Atakent-Expo” and the Association of Publishers and Book Distributors of the Republic from April 11 to 13.
The opening ceremony of the exhibition was attended by Iran cultural attaché in Kazakhstan, Iranian ambassador to the country, head of Moscow Islamic Studies Foundation and representatives and publishers from countries such as Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Germany, China, and South Korea.
The Iranian center attended the exhibition with various books on history, literature, religion, ethics, Iranology, Persian language and literature as well as social issues in Russian, Kazakh, Persian and English languages.
It was officially supported by Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Almaty City Administration.
Supplying effective information exchange regarding books and printing market of Kazakhstan and countries of Central Asia and providing latest research studies in the sphere of management and the newest technologies in the field of book publication have been mentioned as the objectives of the book fair.
Kazakhstan Book and Printing exhibition, titled «Along the Great Silk Road», is a traditional exhibition and one of the significant events in the cultural life of the country.
