According to APS website, it was the 3rd edition of the competition and was held in the categories of memorization and recitation.
Over 200 top Quran reciters and memorizers from all over Algeria took part in the national contest.
The city of Constantine, capital of Constantine Province in north-eastern Algeria, hosted the national Quranic event, which had started on Saturday, April 14.
Winners of the competition were awarded at the closing ceremony. They will be sent to Makkah, Saudi Arabia, to perform Umrah (minor Hajj) and take part in an intensive Quran memorization course in the holy city.
In the previous edition of the contest, held last year, 220 Quran reciters and memorizers competed in the two categories and 150 of them were sent to Umrah.
