Adhan, Ibtihal, Choral Recitation Contest to Open in Tehran

The national competition on Adhan (call to prayer), Ibtihal (Islamic songs) and choral recitation of the Quran will start today, April 20, in Tehran.
The opening ceremony will be held in the afternoon at the Andisheh Hall of the Islamic Development Organization’s Arts Center.
It will be attended by Ayatollah Hosseini Bushehri, director of seminaries, Vali Yarahmadi, head of the Quranic Center of Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization, as well as a number of other officials.
The competition is for men and is held in four categories. The women’s contest has already been held and its winners will be awarded at the closing ceremony.
The competition on Adhan, Ibtihal and choral recitation will run for three days and come to conclusion on April 22.
