High Election Turnout Will Show Islamic Establishment’s Power against Enemies

The Union of Independent Islamic Students Associations in a statement said high turnout in the upcoming presidential elections will show the power of the Islamic Establishment against the enemies.
It said the establishment of the religious democracy in Iran presented to the world a new way of running the society and today, three decades since the creation of the Islamic System in the country, participation of people in decision makings and running the society is manifested for everyone more than ever.
According to the statement, elections are one of the main representations of religious democracy and the Islamic Republic of Iran by holding averagely one election every year has proven the presence of people in the decision making field.
It underlined that the 11th presidential election, given the current conditions, is one of the most important elections for the Islamic republic of Iran and the great Iranian nation.
Undoubtedly, one of the requirements for creating a political epic is massive and enthusiastic participation of the Iranian nation in this national test (election), part of the statement read.
The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Imam Khamenei has named the current Iranian calendar year (started March 21) as the Year of Political and Economic Epic.
The statement said high turnout in the election will not only show the Iranian people’s profound relation with the Islamic Establishment, but also give hope and encouragement to all freedom-seeking people of the world.
The Union of Independent Islamic Students Associations invited all people, especially university students and academics to participate in the upcoming polls.
Iran’s 11th presidential election is set to be held in June.
