In an interview with IQNA, Vali Yarahmadi noted that the 30th edition of the competition is planned to be held concurrent with the day of Mab’ath (call to prophethood) in the month of Rajab (June).
“We have made planning’s to elevate the quality of the contest this year and make it different from previous editions,” he said.
According to Mr. Yarahmadi, the process of change in the international Quranic event that began two years ago will continue this year.
He said sending invitations began earlier this year and many countries have introduced their representatives.
“The technical committee is investigating the level of those introduced and if they meet the required conditions, they will be allowed to participate in the contest.”
The official underlined that preserving the quality of the international competition is of paramount importance and, therefore, only those who meet the criteria can attend the event.
Yarahmadi further said that the 30th edition of the Quran competition will be held in the city of Tehran, but the exact venue of the competition has not been determined yet.
