According to Dunya Al-Watan website, Ismail Rezwan, Palestinian minister of endowment said the ministry plans to hold the competition, which is expected to cost around $30000.
He added that the contest will be organized to develop relations between the Islamic Ummah and Holy Quds, which is under continuous invasion by the Zionist regime.
Representatives from Arab and Islamic countries will participate at the Quranic contest, the minister said.
He also noted that the ministry supports Dar-ol-Qurans and centers for Quran memorization in Gaza Strip. It supervises 620 Quran memorization centers in the region where more than 10000 memorizers of the Holy Quran have been trained so far.
The first edition of the international contest was held by the ministry in the holy month of Ramadan last year.
