Teachers to Meet with Supreme Leader

A number of teachers will meet with Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Imam Khamenei on Wednesday, May 9.
This was announced in a press conference by Asadollah Garmaroudi, head of the Education Ministry’s planning and manpower training department.
May 9 will mark the last day of national Teachers’ Week named “Teacher, Insight and Allegiance with Velayat”.
Garmaroudi said the Teachers’ Week will start on Thursday, May 2, named “Teacher, Self-Sacrifice and Martyrdom” and conclude on May 9 with a meeting of a group of teachers with Imam Khamenei.
He said the other days of the week have been named “Teacher, School and the Awaiting Society”, “Teacher, Student, and Strengthening the Family”, “Teacher, Martyr Motahhari”, “Teacher, Veterans of Education”, and “Teacher, Islamic Revolution, Reciprocal Services”.
The official noted that more than 24000 teachers have been selected as exemplary teachers and will be honored during the Teachers’ Week.
He went on to say that unveiling 2 new books, renewing allegiance with the late Founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran Imam Khomeini (RA), and meeting with the country’s officials will be among other programs for the Teachers’ Week.
