Quran Recitation Sessions at Tehran Int’l Book Fair

Quran recitation sessions are held every day on the sidelines of the 26th Tehran International Book Fair.
Top Iranian Quran reciters will attend the sessions that the held from May 1 to 10 at Tehran’s Imam Khomeini (RA) Mosalla (prayer hall).
The sessions are organized by the Supreme Quran Council in cooperation with the Quran Radio and the officials of Mosalla.
Internationally-acclaimed reciter Ahmad Abolghassemi will attend the session on Saturday, May 4 to recite verses from the Holy Quran.
Other Qaris who have attended the sessions so far include Habibollah Purahmadi, Abbas Hashemi, Mahmoud Rangraz, Majid Vafapour and Jafar Fardi.
They also recited Adhan (call to prayers) at noon and before sunset, and their recitations were broadcast live on Quran Radio.
The 26th edition of Tehran International Book Fair kicked off at Imam Khomeini (RA) Mosalla on May 1.
More than 2,500 domestic and 1,700 foreign publishers are attending the fair and over 5 million people are expected to visit the cultural event.
