Tabriz to Host Int’l Congress on “Islamic Art and Handicrafts”

An international congress on Islamic art and handicrafts will be held on May 8- 9 in Tabriz.
The international event is hosted by an Islamic country every year. This year’s program will be held at the University of Islamic Art in Tabriz.
55 eminent political and cultural figures from different countries have been invited to take part at the congress.
An exhibition of 150 Islamic artworks by Iranian artists and students of the university has been planned on the sidelines of the congress.
The closing ceremony of the congress will be held on May 9 at the university with the participation of Ali Larijani, speaker of the Iranian Parliament.
