Dubai Islamic Affairs opens Al Dashti Mosque
The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai (IACAD), has opened Al Dashti Mosque in Al Barsha South One district.
The department organised a ceremony which was attended by a large number of worshipers.
In a speech, Dr Omar Mohammed Al Khateeb, executive director of Islamic Affairs Sector conveyed the greetings of Dr Hamad Bin Al Sheikh Ahmed Al Shaibani, director-general of the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department to the people of the district.
He pointed out the importance of mosques and their position in the dissemination of correct Islamic Culture and that the first work done by the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) after the honest immigration was to build the mosque.
Dr Ahmed Al Haddad, director of the Advisory for Islamic Affairs focused on the status of the mosque in Islam and its role in building Muslim character and goodness.
