New Islamic School Opens in Tatarstan

A new Islamic school was opened on May 12 in Almetyevsk city of the Republic of Tatarstan.
According to IQNA’s branch in Europe, the opening ceremony was held with the participation of representatives from Tatarstan’s Office for Muslims’ Religious Affairs, Rafik Ahmadov, imam of the congregational prayers in the city and officials of the city’s governorate and Education and Training Office.
The program began with Quran recitation by an eminent Qari of the region, and continued with speeches presented by the representatives and officials.
The new school will host over 100 girls and boys from among children and teenagers of the country who will study under the supervision of experts in Islamic and Quranic sciences.
