Holy Quran Interpretation in Tatar Language Published

A three-volume exegesis of the Holy Quran in the Tatar language was published by the Center for Quran Researches and Studies in Kazan, the capital.
According to IQNA’s branch in Europe, the Office for Muslims’ Religious Affairs announced on May 18, that the project was implemented by the office as part of the plan “Year 2012, the Year of the Holy Quran in Tatarstan”.
Copies of the interpretation will be distributed by the research center in cooperation with the office among mosques in Tatarstan as well as Tatars’ religious and cultural centers all over Russia.
The World Bulletin had reported in April, 2013, that the first interpretation (Tafseer) of the Quran in the Tatar language by Arab culture research specialist Enes Halidov was due to be published. The Tafseer had been approved by the managements of the Presidency of Religious Affairs of Tatarstan and the Russian Islamic University.
