The construction project of the mosque began in 2010 and it is now completed in three floors with separate prayer halls for men and women, washing rooms, a library and a hostel.
A new Islamic school will be set up in three floors besides the mosque in the near future, he added.
Representatives of the Office for Muslims’ Religious Affairs in Kazakhstan and officials of Almaty’s Municipality were also present at the ceremony.
