Imam Ali (AS) Birth Anniversary to Be Celebrated in California
Birth anniversary of Imam Ali (AS) will be celebrated on May 25 in Oakland, California.
According to ICCNC website, the program will be organized by Islamic Cultural Center of Northern California in which different aspects of the lofty character of the first Shia Imam will be discussed.
Amir Karami, McGill University graduate in Philosophy and Religious Studies and Ali Ataei, director of America’s Interfaith Center will address the event.
In a similar move, other Islamic institutes including England and Hamburg Islamic Centers will commemorate the event.
Hamburg Islamic Center plans to hold ninth edition of I’tikaf (religious retreat) ceremonies on the sidelines of the celebration.
