Book-Reading Contest on Martyr Motahhari’s Work in Lebanon
A national book-reading contest on one of Martyr Motahhari’s works titled “Al-Ma’refah Al-‘Aqliyyah wa Al-Qalbiyyah” was held earlier this week by Iran’s Cultural Center in Beirut, Lebanon.
According to the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, the competition was organized in public and private universities in Lebanon with the participation of 2500 male and female students.
Other cities of Lebanon including Beqaa, Sidon, Nabatiyah, and Tyre also hosted the contest.
Addressing the participants, Mr. Sehhat, Iranian cultural attaché in Beirut, talked about the intellectual and philosophical status of Martyr Motahhari and explained Imam Khomeini’s (RA) views about the great Muslim figure.
He encouraged the students to try to learn more about the great scholar, become familiar with his thoughts and follow him as a good role-model in their lives.
Ghazanfar Roknabadi, Iranian ambassador to Lebanon, was also present and talked to some of the students about their viewpoints about the quality of the competition.
The Iranian center organizes the contest every year for all university students in Lebanon.
