West Seeking to Undermine Pillars of Resistance in Muslim Countries
The enemies of Islam, especially the West, is seeking to weaken the pillars of resistance in Islamic countries, a French Muslim scholar said.
Pierre Dortiguier, political analyst and professor emeritus of University of Toulouse, made the remark in an interview with IQNA, adding that the West is plotting to undermine Islamic resistance in order to freely exploit Muslim lands.
“Islam and Muslims are the first victims of the crimes and conspiracies of the international Zionism because of their resistance against the colonizers and expansionists.”
He said Zionists have even infiltrated Christianity in the West and rendered Europe inactive. “Now that, according to the statistics, Islam is replacing Christianity in Europe, the Zionists have felt endangered and are trying to do to Muslims what they did to Christians in the West.”
The French scholar underlined that the Zionist regime, in collaboration with the US, has been trying to infiltrate the Muslim world for years.
“Their attempts have included supports for extremist pseudo-Islamic groups like Wahabists in recent years…. In fact, the West has resorted to forming a fifth column among Muslims.”
He said a look at the situation of Muslim countries today will show signs of these attempts. “The West’s support for terrorists in Syria is a prime example of their efforts to destroy Islamic resistance through radical groups. In fact, the enemies of Islam try to undermine the pillars of resistance in Muslim countries.”
Elsewhere in this interview, Pierre Dortiguier was asked about the silence of Western media over the killing of Muslims in Afghanistan, Myanmar, Pakistan, Iraq and Bahrain.
He said what should be noted here is that the Western media describe these killings as ‘clashes among Muslims’ and refuse to mention the West’s role in provoking sectarian seditions.
“One assertion made by the Western media about the situation in countries like Iraq and Bahrain is that the clashes there are because of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s support for certain groups in these countries. This is while any wise person is aware of the fact that Iran has always made endeavors to enhance stability in the region. These clashes are actually the result of the presence of world imperialism in the region.”
He noted that the Western media have never analyzed the situation in the Middle East and Muslim countries in a logical and fair manner because the world Zionism owns these media outlets and determines their modes operandi.
The French scholar said the West’s enmity with Islam is manifested not only through invasion of Islamic countries but also through supporting extremist groups that call themselves Islamic.
“The West supports them on the one hand and calls them terrorists and enemies in the media on the other hand in order to distort the image of Islam.”
He referred to the recent bombings in the US city of Boston and said the two young Muslims from Chechnya were the victims of a sinister plot by the US government aimed at spreading Islamophobia.
