Religious Study to Be Taught in Kazakh Schools

The subject "Religious study" will be taught in every school of Kazakhstan from 2017, KazTag news agency reports.
According to the Head of the Information Fund on Religious Affairs "Areal" - Ayman Rustembekova, by 2017 almost in all schools the subject "Religious study" will be taught starting with the ninth grade. The subject is introduced in order to improve religious literacy of young people.
In November last year, the Vice-Minister of Education and Science of Kazakhstan - Murat Abenov said that the teachers of "Religious study" discipline will be obliged to get state certificates.
