Muslim scholars and religious figures from different countries are attending the series held by Hael An’am Saeed Charity Foundation, Sabanet news network reported.
Planned to continue for a week, they include discussions on Tajweed sciences, designing Mushafs, and how a Quran memorizers should act.
Abdullah Abduh Saeed, Director of Hael An’am Saeed Charity Foundation, at the opening ceremony of the series delivered a speech on the history of Quran schools in Yemen, saying that the first Quran school in the country, named Al-Rahma, was launched 25 years ago.
“The first Quranic session in the school was held in 1987,” he noted, adding that other Quran schools were formed from Al-Rahma school in the past few years.
“There are tens of Quran schools in Ta’ez province and elsewhere and hundreds of Quran memorizers have been trained in these schools.”
Abdullah Abduh Saeed went on to say that the series of specialized Quran sessions are aimed at promoting the Quranic culture and serving the Word of God.
Scholars and thinkers from Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Russia, Morocco, Bahrain, Syria and Jordan take part in the series.
Egyptian Quran Master Ahmed Ahmed Noaina is also planned to take part in a Quran session at Al-Saeed Mosque in Ta’ez City and recite verses from the Holy Quran.
