Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution said that with the blessings of God, the future of Iran and the Iranian nation will be a bright future full of dignity and a model for others.
Imam Khamenei made the statement on Monday in the officers’ graduation ceremony of Imam Hussein (AS) University in Tehran.
His Eminence referred to the great, enthusiastic and epical stride of the Iranian nation in the upcoming elections as harbinger of greater accomplishments and successes for the Islamic system and the revolution.
Imam Khamenei advised people to carefully assess the statements and slogans of the presidential candidates in order to better know them and elect the best candidate.
The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution urged that people should prefer one who would prepare the ground for more dignity for the future of the revolution and the country, one who would have the ability to resolve the problems and steadfastly stand up against the front of enemies.
His Eminence also advised the candidates to avoid extravagance, smearing and unethical behavior in their campaigning and to defend and confirm the principles of the Islamic Establishment.
Imam Khamenei said the presidential candidates’ electioneering must be done epically with enthusiasm but without spreading hate.
“We do not know who will be the next president… but we know that people’s presence in polling stations will be a declaration of people’s powerful participation in the movement toward the ideals. It will certainly pave the way for dignity, safety, and international credit (for the Iranian nation) and bring about the friends’ joy and the enemies’ dismay.”
Imam Khamenei referred to the propaganda spread by the ill-wishers of the Iranian nation to dissuade people from voting and said the reason behind these attempts is because people’s vibrant presence will be very costly for the enemies.
His Eminence also pointed to the remarks of American officials about Iran’s elections and said these remarks are made by those who are disgraced by their Guantanamo prison, their drones and war-mongering and their unconditional support for the Zionist regime.
The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution noted that the front of enemies has made attempts against every election in the country in the past 34 years but have failed in all of their attempts and will be slapped in the face this time round as well.
Iran’s 11th presidential elections and the 4th city and rural council elections are scheduled to be held on Friday, June 14.
