1st Nat’l Forum of Women Quran Memorization Centers in Qatar
The first national forum of Quran memorization centers of women in Qatar will be held on June 17.
According to Al-Sharq website, the program will be organized by Women Quran Memorization Section of the Office for Religious Dissemination and Guidance affiliated to the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs in Qatar.
“Sideline Programs in Quran Memorization, reality and Perspective” will be the motto of the forum to be hosted by the office for two days.
Representatives from over 50 Quranic institutes and private Dar-ol-Quran centers for women as well as Dar-ol-Quran centers affiliated to the ministry will attend the program.
Seyyed Muhammad Al-Mahmoud, director of the office said that the forum has been planned with the aim of reviving the culture of acting upon the Divine Word, deepening the love for religious sciences and Islamic values and rituals among Quranic women, and helping to raise a Quranic generation.
New experiences and innovations in methods of Quran memorization and contemplating the Quran and Quranic sciences will be among the themes of the program.
It will be organized in order to unify scientific activities, evaluate and develop such activities and provide an opportunity for experience exchange among the Quranic centers, he added.
