2nd Mahdism Media Festival in Najaf
The holy city of Najaf is hosting the second Mahdism Media Festival on the occasion of Imam Zaman’s (AS) birth anniversary.
The media section of the Astan (custodianship) of Imam Ali’s (AS) holy shrine is organizing the festival, its public relations office reported.
Head of the office Faeq Al-Shimri said the festival’s motto this year is “Birth of Imam Mahdi (AS), An Honor and Hope for Generations”.
He said the festival will include various programs including a seminar attended by Seyyed Heydar Jelodarkhan, head of Karbala satellite network andSheikh Meghdad Hamousdi, an official with the Astan.
Al-Shimri stated that the seminar will discuss media topics and the status of the media as far as the issue of Mahdism is concerned.
A poetry night on the occasion of Imam Mahdi’s (AS) birth anniversary and a ceremony celebrating the anniversary of the establishment of the Astan’s radio will be among other programs of the festival, he went on to say.
